Privacy Policy

Last updated: 17 August 2026

This privacy policy explains what information Diagnostack ("we", "us", the "Site") collects when you visit https://diagnostack.com, why we collect it, who it is shared with, and what control you have over it.

Current status

To be precise about what is actually running today: the Google AdSense script is installed on this Site and the Site is awaiting review. No ads are being displayed yet, but Google's script is loaded on every page and may set cookies. This Site runs a self-hosted, cookieless page-view counter of its own, described in section 4 — it uses no third-party analytics service and stores no identifiers. A consent banner for EEA and UK visitors will be enabled through Google's certified consent platform before personalised ads are served.

The Site is operated by Younghwan Lee, South Korea. For any privacy question or request, contact storm2119@gmail.com.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

If you send a message through our contact page or by email, we receive whatever you choose to include — typically your name, email address, and the content of your message. We use this only to respond to you. We do not add contact-form submissions to a marketing list, and we do not sell or rent this information.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records standard technical information in its server logs when you load a page. This can include:

This information is used to keep the Site running, diagnose errors, understand which guides are useful, and detect abuse. It is not used to build a personal profile of you by us.

2. Cookies and similar technologies

A cookie is a small text file stored by your browser. This Site sets no cookies of its own — including our page-view counter, which deliberately uses none. Google's advertising script is loaded on every page and may set third-party cookies, as described in section 3, even while the Site is under review and no ads are yet displayed.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Every major browser allows you to block cookies, delete existing cookies, or be warned before one is set. Blocking cookies will not break the Site's articles, though advertising may become less relevant and some third-party features may not work.

3. Advertising and Google AdSense

This Site is supported by advertising served by third-party networks including Google. The Google AdSense script is installed and loads on every page; the Site is currently awaiting Google's review, so no advertisements are displayed yet. The following applies to Google's advertising services on this Site.

Google's own handling of data when you use its partners' sites is described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.

Some advertisers other than Google may also serve ads on this Site through Google's network. Those third parties may use cookies, web beacons, or similar technologies. We do not control these third-party cookies and we recommend reviewing the privacy policy of any advertiser whose ad you interact with.

4. Analytics

This Site runs a self-hosted page-view counter that we built ourselves. It uses no third-party analytics provider, no cookies, and no identifiers of any kind. Nothing is shared with anyone.

What it records, once per page you open:

What it does not record: your IP address, any cookie or identifier, your user-agent string, your city or precise location, your search terms, or anything that links one page view to another.

Because no identifier is stored, we cannot tell whether two page views came from the same person, we cannot count unique visitors, and we cannot build a profile of you or follow you between pages. The data is aggregate by construction, not by policy.

The counter is disabled automatically if your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal. It runs only on our own domain, and if it fails for any reason the page is unaffected.

4a. Site search

The search page runs entirely inside your browser using a static index file downloaded with the page. What you type into the search box is never sent to us or to any third party, and we have no record of what visitors search for.

5. Legal basis for processing (EEA and UK visitors)

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process personal data on the following bases:

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

To exercise any of these, email storm2119@gmail.com. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law (generally 30 days). We may ask you to verify your identity before acting on a request.

California residents (CCPA/CPRA)

We do not sell personal information as that term is defined under California law, and we do not knowingly share the personal information of consumers under 16. California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Requests may be sent to storm2119@gmail.com.

7. Data retention

Contact-form and email correspondence is kept only as long as needed to handle your enquiry and any follow-up, then deleted. Server logs are retained for a short period for security and debugging. Page-view counter records contain no identifying information — by design they cannot be linked to a person or to each other — and may be kept indefinitely.

8. Children's privacy

This Site is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. External links

Our guides link to external websites — manufacturer support pages, documentation, tools. We have no control over the content or privacy practices of those sites, and this policy does not apply to them. Their privacy policy governs once you leave Diagnostack.

10. Security

The Site is served over HTTPS. We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the limited information we hold. No method of transmission over the Internet is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or in the law. The "Last updated" date at the top will always show when the current version took effect. Material changes will be announced on the site's home page.
